About Me

I grew up on the east coast ina very abusive and dysfunctional family. My ED started at the young age of 12. I was very unhappy and disatisfied with me and had no self esteem. Most of the time I wanted to die. But I knew I had to get away. When I was 17 I went away to college and tried to leave all that behind. Somehow it does catch up with you. After college and graduate school I got married and we moved far far away from my family of origin or they woudl still be breathing down my neck. I know it was because of them that I became anorexic butIlearned a long time ago not to blame. I was a big girl now and I was responsible for my life. My anorexia did follow me It was very hard to get away from it and I hada lot of difficult years I had a lot of therapy and a lot of successes but I would always fall back. The anorexia took quite a toll on my body and I became very sick with a lot of disorders that kept me prisoner for years.I discovered Transcendbulimia a number of years ago and that really help me on my path, my journey to wellness. I like to give cedit where credit is due. I am on a much higher path and journey right now and Ia m very grateful that I can share my life
